Choose a narrow practice target

A well-planned station keeps tools visible, clean and reachable without interrupting the service. The goal is a repeatable layout that supports safe movement, efficient resets and calm attention on the client.

Pick one element that can be observed in a short session. Keep the model, tool setting, view and success criterion as consistent as practical.

Run the core drill

Photograph the station, complete a timed mock setup, perform a simulated tool change sequence and compare the finish against the same reset checklist.

Complete a baseline attempt, one corrected attempt and one repeat. Photograph or record only what is permitted and useful for comparison.

• Separate clean, used and disinfected tools clearly.
• Place frequently used tools inside a comfortable reach zone.
• Keep cords, bags and loose items away from walkways.
• Reset the station fully between every model or client.

Add a constraint only after control

Once the basic sequence is repeatable, vary one condition such as viewing angle, timing, density or scenario. Avoid Allowing used tools to drift back into the clean area.; Overloading the bench until important tools are hidden.; Starting a service without checking guards, blades and consumables..

If the outcome changes, identify which variable caused it before adding another challenge.

Debrief the evidence

Follow the product instructions, workplace procedures and applicable infection-control rules for every cleaning and disinfection step.

Write one sentence for the plan, one for the observed result and one for the next attempt.
