1. Agreement and operator

By using the website, you agree to these terms. The website is operated under the trading name The Guild of Master Barbers. Contact us at hello@theguildofmasterbarbers.com.

If you apply or enrol, the relevant contracting provider should be identified in your written enrolment confirmation and invoice before payment.

2. Website information and course enquiries

We aim to keep website information accurate and current, but schedules, trainer allocation, availability, program content and fees can change before a place is formally accepted. Your written enrolment confirmation records the agreed details for your intake.

Submitting an application or enrolment form is an invitation for us to assess suitability. It does not itself guarantee acceptance, reserve a place or require payment.

3. Important qualification and career notice

The Guild’s 12-week program is a private professional training program focused on practical barbering development. It is not a nationally recognised qualification, apprenticeship, traineeship or course delivered by a Registered Training Organisation unless we expressly state otherwise in writing.

Completing the program does not by itself guarantee employment, income, business success, professional registration or satisfaction of any legal requirement to work for fee. People intending to work in NSW should independently check current qualification and approval requirements with NSW Fair Trading and compare recognised pathways through Skills NSW or an Australian Apprenticeships provider.

4. Acceptable use

• Do not attempt to bypass authentication, access another person’s account, probe security or interfere with the website or services.
• Do not upload malicious code, unlawful material, confidential information you are not authorised to share, or content that infringes another person’s rights.
• Do not scrape, copy, republish or commercially exploit substantial website or learning content without written permission.
• Do not impersonate another person, submit false information or use the website to harass, threaten or mislead.

5. Accounts and portal access

Portal credentials are personal and must be kept confidential. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. We may suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect users, information, payment integrity or system security, and will act consistently with applicable enrolment terms and law.

6. Intellectual property

The website, brand, curriculum presentation, videos, photographs, text and learning materials are owned by or licensed to The Guild and protected by law. You may view public pages for personal use and enrolled students may use supplied learning material for their own study. No ownership transfers to you.

You retain ownership of original material you submit. You give us a limited licence to host, reproduce and display it only as reasonably needed to deliver, assess, administer and secure the program. Separate, express consent is required before identifiable student work or imagery is used in public marketing.

7. Third-party services and links

The website may link to or rely on third-party services such as payment, authentication, hosting, email and social-media providers. Their own terms and privacy practices may apply. We are not responsible for unrelated third-party content, but this does not limit our responsibility for providers acting on our behalf where the law makes us responsible.

8. Availability and changes

We may maintain, update or temporarily interrupt the website. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free access. We will take reasonable steps to protect paid student access and provide an appropriate alternative where a material outage affects delivery.

9. Consumer rights and liability

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies a consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss caused solely by reliance on general public website content, third-party content outside our control, or misuse of the website. Any permitted limitation is subject to mandatory consumer rights.

10. Changes, severability and governing law

These website terms are effective from 30 August 2026. We may update them prospectively by publishing a new version. If a term is unenforceable, it is read down or severed to the minimum extent necessary. New South Wales law governs these terms and the courts with jurisdiction there may hear disputes.
